Scotland Weekly Issue #6

This is our sixth issue! Really grateful to those that have been sending encouragements over and we are glad that you are finding the weekly useful and informative.


RENTAL NEWS
a) 1 Large size castle (Kahlo: 86,155,33) is available for a weekly rental of L750 with a prim limit of 100.

b) 1 Medium cottage (Kahlo: 160, 187, 33) is available for a weekly rental of L500 with a prim limit of 75.

COMING EVENT(S)
a) Remember to join us for the Celtic Ceildih this Saturday 31st March 2007, starting from 1pm SLT, at the Nessie's Pub.


b) There will be a special "Click and Get" Hour on Sunday 1st April at 5 PM SLT, location is at 3rd Floor of The Tartan Shop, Lane (200, 96 , 40). All items will be free for that 1 hour - 1 mens flex kilt, wedding gowns, casual outfits and more. It's not an April's Fool joke!



c) Tartan Day is scheduled on 6th April 2007, get your tartans ready. There will be a DJ and Ceildih on that day too.

d) The Pipe band and Drum Corp will be performing for NASA on Yuri Day Celebration 12th April 2007 at 1 pm SLT @ Spaceport Bravo (12, 247, 263).

e) By the way, we are planning a fashion show for June. Yes, a fashion show! More information will be provided as and when they are available.


WHAT'S NEW
a) The remodeling of the shopping area is under way and the process will take some time. We apologize for any inconvenience caused during this period.


b) The construction of Eilean Donan Castle at Eilean Donan sim has completed. Go and have a walkaround there and remember to take some snapshots!


c) Have you check out the Second Life: Scotland blog yet? We have some stuffs there. A News Flash column, a video (YouTube) column,
a Staffs @ Scotland list and a SnapZilla snapshot panel.


OTHERS
a) Dart game at the pub is now L$10 for a single game and L$20 for two players!

b) Do you have a horse? You can now ride your horse on the grasslands on all the 3 sims!!!

c) Getting a SL wedding soon? We do have a Wedding Chapel with a nice Reception Area at Kahlo (86, 64, 24) for your grand event. Contact Lacy217 McLuhan for a booking now!

We are into our fifth issue now! Thank you so much for the supports and time for the past one month.

As usual, we will start with the latest rental news.

COMING EVENT(S)
a) There will be a Scotland Trivia on Sunday 25th March 2007 10am SLT at the Nessies Pub. Let your knowledge wins you some L$. Starting reading up now!!!

WHAT'S NEW

Caber throwing champion

After a great effort from Issadora and Samuel a new caber throwing champion has emerged!

Samuel Kingsford won with 186.0m throw and walked away with L$325 and the championship trophy as well as the Gold throw prize of L$234 and a golden caber. Issadora won the silver prize of L$206 and a silver caber.

COMING EVENTS
There will be a St. Patrick's Day Extravaganze on Saturday 17th March 2007.

Pipeband concert will start at 12noon SLT and the mass piping parade will be next after the concert at 1PM SLT.

The Ceildih will start at around 2pm SLT in Nessie's Pub and there will be a prize money of L500 for the Best in Green.

Venue for all the events will be at Scotland. By the way, you can grab a free St Patty Day shamrock hat at the entrance of the pub too!


WHAT'S NEW
a) The dart game in the pub now only cost L10 for a single game and L20 for two players. Grab someone along now and have fun.

b) Horses are allowed to roam the lands!!! We want to see more horseback riding!!!

c) The Wedding Chapel and Reception Area, now at Kahlo (86, 64, 24), is operational ready. Anyone getting married soon?

d) The snow mountain is now reformed to ease the difficulties of skiing and snowboarding so do try it out.

e) You can also grab a free pair of skates next to the ice rink and have a go at ice skating.

f) Eilean Donan Castle is being built now at the Eilean Donan, its looking pretty impressive though uncompleted. So do drop by and look at the construction process.

COMING EVENTS
a) There is a Celtic Ceildih on Sunday 11th March 2007, 2pm-4pm SLT, at the Nessie's Pub. So come on down!

b) The first ever SL Toss the Caber competition is set to start from 1pm SLT on Sunday 11th March 2007 as well. Qualification Rounds will run from 11th to 18th March 2007. The Finals & Prize Giving Ceremony (prizes+trophies) will be on 1PM SLT 18th March 2007. Start finding out the rules of the competition now!



Anyone wishing to donate a prize can send it (do make it transferrable) to Lacy217 McLuhan with a notecard. We are also seeking sponsorship for the event through ad space placements (L100/week) over at the competition area. Just head to Kahlo (188,29,25), pay the ad system and drop your texture in.

g) Want to learn ice skating? Grab a free pair of skates next to the ice rink and you are on your way!

h) Eilean Donan Castle is being built now at Eilean Donan sim, if you have nothing on, why not drop by and look at the construction process?

i) Hope you guys have noticed the giant TV at the sim, its showing Rob Roy now. To watch the video, make sure you have the latest QuickTime software and have the SL's settings correct.

Scotland Weekly Issue #2

This is our second issue now.

Thanks for all the encouragements.

We have decided to shift the Weekly now to http://sl-scotland.blogspot.com instead of the group notice. By shifting to a website model, we can provide you with more pictures and videos (in future). You can also get your updates and informations from the website too even if SL is unaccessible.

WHAT'S NEW
a) Remember the new dart game in the pub. We are trying to lower the price to start a game, making it more fun for everyone.

b) Horseback riding is allowed in the sims just in case you are not aware. All you need to do is bring your own horse and you are ready to roam the lands.

c) There is now a romantic getaway skybox suite available (for those special occasions) for 24-hour rental. Please contact Lacy217 McLuhan for more details.

d) A new tenant, Jimmy Marbles, has just moved in above Jay's place so do check his store out when you are at the sim.

e) If you have noticed, we have recently shifted the Wedding Chapel and Reception Area to Kahlo (86, 64, 24). The new area will have more space as well as a better environment than the previous one.

b) A caber toss competition is on the drawing board and is tentatively being scheduled on Sunday 11th March 2007. Start practising your throwing now!

c) A Ceildih and Pipeband concert on Saturday 17th March 2007 (ST PATTY'S DAY BASH) is also being planned. More details will be available soon so stay tuned!
